We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Registration Education Specialist to join our team at Berkshire Health Systems. As a key member of our registration team, you will be responsible for providing education and training to new employees, refresher courses for existing staff, and ongoing training to meet goals developed by Management.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver comprehensive registration and insurance training programs for new employees and existing staff.
- Collaborate with Management to identify training needs and develop training plans to meet those needs.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to registration staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Serve as the primary liaison for insurance verification and ensure that all registration staff are knowledgeable about insurance policies and procedures.
- Develop and present monthly registration meetings and new hire registration and insurance training to all acute registration staff throughout Berkshire Health Systems.
- Registration experience required.
- Knowledge of Meditech Expanse Registration Management Desktop module required.
- Previous registration experience and experience with group leadership and facilitation preferred.
- Two years of college in a business, IT, or healthcare-related course of study required. Additional relevant previous admitting experience may be substituted for educational requirement.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and interpersonal relationship skills required.
- Proven organizational skills and ability to handle stressful situations calmly and rationally.
- Ability to work under deadline pressures and willing to accept additional responsibilities/duties as position requires.
