Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement EHS programs that comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with EHS standards.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to the EPA, DOT, OSHA, and other relevant agencies.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on EHS regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate EHS considerations into business decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in EHS regulations and industry practices.
  • Promote a positive safety culture within the organization.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role in the Manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including those set by the EPA, DOT, and OSHA.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS programs.
  • Strong ability to prepare and submit compliance reports.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential EHS issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and guide staff on EHS matters.
  • Certification in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Professional, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture of safety within an organization.
