Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a key player in the operations of Avatar Natural Foods. This unique position combines culinary expertise, production management, and business operations skills to oversee the efficient production of our natural food products.

Key Responsibilities:Culinary and Production Management:
  • Food Product Development: Oversee the preparation and production of fresh produce, sandwiches, salads, pita bread, cookies, and pita chips, ensuring all food products meet quality standards and comply with food safety regulations.
  • Production Scheduling: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing efficiency, ensuring timely ordering and delivery of raw materials.
  • Culinary Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and test new recipes and menu items, driving innovation and quality improvement.
Business Operations:
  • Financial Management: Manage day-to-day business operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, to ensure the financial health and stability of Avatar Natural Foods.
  • Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs, ensuring the company remains competitive in the market.
  • Procurement and Vendor Management: Oversee procurement and vendor management to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of ingredients and supplies, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies, identifying and mitigating potential risks to the business.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production and operational performance, making data-driven decisions to drive improvement.
Team Leadership and Training:
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, ensuring a high level of employee engagement and performance, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Training and Development: Conduct regular training sessions on production processes, safety procedures, and quality standards, ensuring staff are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance production efficiency and product quality, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating innovative techniques and technologies into production processes, ensuring Avatar Natural Foods remains at the forefront of the industry.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing or production environment, with a strong track record of success.
  • Culinary Skills: Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food production processes, with the ability to develop and implement new recipes and menu items.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of production staff.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks to the business.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, suppliers, and customers.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs.
