Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider II

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and education, in accordance with established protocols and clinical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, perform physical exams, and order diagnostic tests as necessary to determine diagnoses and develop treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement patient education programs to promote health and wellness, and provide guidance on self-management and follow-up care.
  • Supervise and evaluate APP students, and contribute to the education of residents, interns, and other healthcare trainees.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in healthcare by attending seminars, workshops, and professional conferences, and participating in professional organizations.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in nursing or a related field, or a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with authorization to practice in the state of Texas.
  • Active certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a recognized certifying organization.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
