Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider II

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our clinical practice.

Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider II will be responsible for providing healthcare services to patients in designated primary or specialty areas. This includes obtaining histories, performing physical exams, making assessments, ordering tests, and determining diagnoses. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing individualized care plans, providing education to patients and families, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  1. Provides high-quality patient care, including obtaining histories, performing physical exams, making assessments, ordering tests, and determining diagnoses.
  2. Develops and implements individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences, values, and goals.
  3. Provides education to patients and families, including information on diagnosis, treatment options, and self-management techniques.
  4. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other advanced practice providers, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  5. Participates in quality improvement initiatives, including data collection, analysis, and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  6. Stays current with the latest developments, advancements, and trends in healthcare by attending seminars, workshops, and conferences, and participating in professional organizations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in nursing or a related field, or a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with authorization to practice in the state of Texas.
  • Active certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a recognized certifying organization.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
