Job Title: Perioperative Patient Navigator

Job Summary:

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a skilled and compassionate Perioperative Patient Navigator to join our esteemed medical team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding patients through the perioperative diagnostic and treatment process, ensuring clarity and support at each stage.

Responsibilities:

Conduct pre-anesthesia testing (PAT) to assess patients' health and readiness for surgery.
Establish positive and respectful relationships with patients and their families to foster trust and open communication.
Facilitate a positive surgical experience by addressing patient concerns and providing timely information.
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless coordination and continuity of care throughout the perioperative journey.
Educate patients and families on the surgical process, recovery expectations, and post-operative care.
Advocate for patients' needs and preferences within the healthcare system, ensuring their voices are heard.
Monitor patients' progress and follow up on any concerns or barriers to care pre-surgery and post-surgery.
Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, interactions, and care plans.

Qualifications:

Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
At least 3 years of inpatient or outpatient orthopedic nursing experience is required.
