Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Plasma Etch Process Engineer to join our team at Applied Materials. As a key member of our process engineering team, you will be responsible for driving innovative techniques to characterize hardware, defining methods and new plasma etch technologies, and applying them to characterize hardware and perform hardware characterization on complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on complex process engineering experiments for plasma etch/pattern shaping products.
  • Design and implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation.
  • Train engineers, define and implement new methodologies, define and apply new plasma etch/pattern shaping technologies, and troubleshoot and resolve complex process/tool engineering issues.
  • Develop, plan, and execute process engineering projects for plasma etch/pattern shaping products.
  • Interact with key customers to resolve complex process engineering issues and address their High Value Problems (HVP).

Requirements

  • BS in ChemE, EE, Mat Sci, physics, chemistry, or related areas. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor fabrication or equipment industry.
  • Off-hours work at times to support activities in different time zones.
  • US and international travel 25-40%.
