Position: Bartender at Rams Head Bar

Employment Type: Full-time

Overview: Located on the scenic second-floor circular balcony, the Rams Head Bar provides a family-friendly atmosphere with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Our bar features a unique selection of beverages, including locally-inspired cocktails, hot drinks, and craft beers from local breweries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established cash handling protocols in line with company guidelines.
  • Accurately complete daily documentation, including inventory and spoilage reports.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels based on anticipated business needs.
  • Ensure the security of the premises by monitoring access points and overseeing staff and customer interactions.
  • Keep all storage areas, loading docks, and coolers organized and hygienic.
  • Receive and properly store incoming goods in a timely manner.
  • Oversee cleaning processes to uphold sanitation standards in all bar and dining areas.
  • Promptly report any maintenance concerns to management.
  • Actively engage in the company's Health & Safety initiatives.
  • Support environmental sustainability efforts by minimizing waste and promoting recycling.
  • Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to high service standards.
  • Knowledge of proper etiquette in guest interactions.
  • Thorough understanding of menu items and offerings.
  • Skilled in promoting and upselling products and services.
  • Familiarity with service and reservation protocols.
  • Possession of a valid OLCC and Oregon Food Handlers permit.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to bend, twist, and kneel as needed.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces while maintaining balance.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
  • Capacity to keep pace with the demands of the department.
