Position: Bartender at Rams Head Bar

Job Type: Full-time

Overview: Located on the scenic second floor circular balcony, the Rams Head Bar provides a welcoming atmosphere for families, featuring a delightful selection of beverages and snacks while showcasing stunning views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson. Our menu boasts a variety of historic and locally-inspired cocktails, alongside hot beverages and craft beers from local breweries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to cash handling protocols in line with company policies.
  • Accurately complete daily documentation, including IDT sheets, spoilage records, and invoices.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels based on anticipated business activity.
  • Ensure security of the premises by monitoring access points and overseeing staff and customer interactions.
  • Keep storage areas, loading docks, coolers, and other spaces orderly and clean.
  • Receive and properly store deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Oversee cleanliness to uphold sanitation standards in bar and dining areas.
  • Promptly report maintenance concerns to supervisors or management.
  • Actively engage in the Health & Safety Program of the company.
  • Support environmental sustainability efforts by minimizing waste and promoting recycling.
  • Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Service-oriented approach to customer interactions.
  • Detail-focused with a commitment to high service standards.
  • Exhibit proper etiquette in guest interactions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of menu items.
  • Skilled in upselling beverages and services.
  • Familiarity with service and reservation protocols.
  • Possess a valid OLCC and Oregon Food Handlers permit.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to bend, twist, and kneel as needed.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces while maintaining balance.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
  • Maintain pace with the demands of the department.
