Job Summary

The Point Eight Power team is seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler 2 to join our manufacturing facility. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality craftsmanship in electrical assembly techniques to contribute to our industry-leading cycle time, delivering superior quality, and assisting in reducing per unit costs to drive operational success.

Consistent and accurate representation of the Point Eight Power brand, mission, vision, values, and organizational strategy are essential to achieving the goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute workmanship on production projects, including large line-ups and complex sections, in all areas of assembly.
  • Install all types of electrical components and devices onto pans and into enclosures per drawing packages, assembly guides, and instructions defined by the Engineering Department.
  • Prepare and install electrical components, switches, meters, breaker cells, breakers, nameplates, sensors, etc., by reading and comprehending drawing packages, layouts, and documents with minimal supervision.
  • Perform daily tasks with safe and proper use of equipment and tools, including overhead cranes, pallet jacks, tilt tables, saw horses, stools, ladders, torque wrenches, drills, hand tools, air, and electric power tools, tape measures, etc.
  • Interpret and apply intermediate electrical manufacturing knowledge and principles while reading specifications to make determinations on component parts, methods, sequencing, and advising team members of errors to technical drawings as a means of proactive quality measures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards, and best practices, and relying on pre-established guidelines or directions from senior team members to perform tasks optimally.
  • Maintain operational excellence by completing necessary paperwork, such as Quality Check Lists, QCP Deficiencies, Discrepancy Lists.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience assembling electrical switchboards from a drawing package in our manufacturing facility.
  • 2 years of experience working in an electrical apprenticeship, as an electronic repairman, or HVAC installer, preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Tools and Equipment

Screwdrivers, ratchet and sockets, wrenches, torque wrenches, cutters, tape measure, band saw, air and electric power tools, drills, inspection mirror, etc.
