Job Description:
SUMMARY:
This position involves fitting and assembling mechanical and/or electrical components according to prints or sketches, and constructing high-speed, precision machine equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading and analyzing assembly and electrical prints/bills of material and order acknowledgment documentation to plan machine-building operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and analyze assembly and electrical prints/bills of material and order acknowledgment documentation to plan machine-building operations.
- Fitting and assembling components according to specifications using proper tools and verifying conformance of parts.
- Assembling, setting up, and operating machines to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance.
- Forming and fastening pneumatic and hydraulic lines, fixtures, and attachments required to service machines with air and oil.
- Installing wiring, electrical components, and panel building to specifications.
- Debugging assemblies and machines by identifying and correcting problems affecting proper operation.
- Communicating with project teams regarding build issues and documentation.
- A technical degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related field is preferred, or a high school diploma with a minimum of one year experience related to mechanical, HPL, and/or electrical assembly of industrial machinery.
- Ability to assemble both mechanical and electrical components according to prints and sketches.
- Possess the written, verbal, and interaction skills necessary to work both independently and cooperatively.
- Possess basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Possess appropriate hand tools.

- Lift, move, or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently.
- Typically sits, grasps items, or performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer.
- Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection.
