Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Your primary role will involve fostering positive relationships between residents and the surrounding community. You will serve as the main liaison for the Property Manager, ensuring effective communication on matters impacting the housing installation and its partnership with public-private ventures (PPV).

Additionally, you will advocate for residents, assist in resolving their concerns, and collaborate closely with the PPV partner to address complex challenges.

Your duties will include conducting housing inspections, audits, and management reviews to verify compliance with housing program standards, as well as Life, Health, and Safety regulations. You will utilize your maintenance expertise to identify and assess potential issues within the housing facilities.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience should include:

  1. Performing inspections of housing facilities and identifying deficiencies;
  2. Interpreting and applying technical requirements and specifications to address quality issues encountered during audits, inspections, or investigations;
  3. Preparing detailed reports and documentation that include data collection, analysis, and recommendations for action.

Education

Education may substitute for specialized experience as follows:

  • A Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree, or
  • Two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or
  • A combination of experience and graduate education that equates to one year of experience.

The combined percentage of required education and experience must total one hundred percent.

Additional Information

This position is part of the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. It utilizes direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to specific roles within the competitive service.

This role typically requires a 40-hour work week and may involve working uncommon hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays to fulfill mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay may be applicable.

Physical Demands: The job primarily involves walking, standing, climbing stairs, and driving. Some sedentary work may be required, but no special physical demands are necessary.

Work Environment: Office work involves standard risks or discomforts typical of office settings. Employees may also encounter moderate risks requiring special safety precautions, such as exposure to unsanitary conditions during inspections.

Protective gear may be necessary when visiting housing units or facilities undergoing maintenance or renovations.
