About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook/Chef to join our team at Presbyterian Homes & Services. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality meals and dining experiences for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve attractive, nutritious, and palatable meals consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Manage food service operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal food-handling regulations, including obtaining and maintaining Serve Safe Certification.
  • Collaborate with our team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for our residents.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Cook: 1 year of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, or senior services setting.
  • Chef: 2 years of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, or senior services setting, or completion of culinary training/certification or vocational training/certification in commercial food preparation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food service operations and ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Compatibility with Presbyterian Homes & Services' mission and operating philosophies.
