Job Summary

This Automation Engineer position is responsible for providing technical expertise in the development, implementation, and maintenance of automation solutions for global operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with equipment line debug, on-site installation, and training, as well as proficiency in PLC programming, HMI's, and vision systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering teams to install and commission highly automated equipment in a manufacturing facility.
  • Provide technical support to operations and validation teams during characterization and validation activities.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions, including PLC controls, HMI's, and vision systems.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers to debug and improve software and configuration.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to operators.

Requirements

  • Allen Bradley, Studio 5000 PLC programming experience.
  • Experience with electromechanical systems, including AC & DC motor drives, servo motors, HMIs, and I/O hardware machine safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with software platforms, including Cognex InSight, FactoryTalk View SE, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience leading and managing a team during debug and commissioning.
