PLC Control Engineer

Remote work within the USA (Eastern Time Zone) is preferred.

Direct Hire Opportunity

Salary: $90-120k depending on experience + benefits.

Travel: Less than 40% of the time.

Talos Automation is seeking a skilled PLC Control Engineer to join their team in the water treatment industry in Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, troubleshoot, and commission PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Ignition SCADA, and networks used to control water or wastewater facilities.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, P&ID drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations or repair work.
  • Collaborate with design staff to ensure designs are cost-effective, safe, and efficient.
  • Complete and update technical documentation.
  • Perform installation and commissioning at customer facilities.

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate has a degree in an electrical discipline.
  • Proven background as a PLC programmer/control engineer.
  • Expertise in the Siemens suite, including S7-300 to S7-1200, Tia Portal, Simatic, and WinCC.
  • Ability to program from scratch in structured text (SCL), STL, and ladder logic (LAD), as well as troubleshoot and commission code.
  • Experience in the water, wastewater, or water treatment industry.
