Job Summary

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team at Simmons Pet Food Inc. As a key member of our Plant Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving positive change in our facility through the lens of lean manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the development and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to other managers and team members to upskill and develop their lean manufacturing knowledge and skills.
  • Develop and implement measurement standards and benchmarks to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) process, including maintaining measurement standards, coaching on improvement plans and strategies, training, coaching, and monthly reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Leadership Team to set strategies, masterplan activities, employee engagement activities, loss elimination ideas, and results delivery.
  • Build capability of site leaders to implement tools, methodologies, capabilities, and standards.
  • Ensure CI tools and methodologies are used to drive all site result opportunities and to ensure all results are being sustained or improved.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing, operations, continuous improvement, or engineering discipline.
  • 1+ year's experience in sustainable food processing or manufacturing.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Lean Six Sigma training and certifications.
  • Understanding of use of Lean Principles, Systems, and Tools.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 2 years of prior management-level experience.
