About the Opportunity

We are seeking qualified individuals to join our Adjunct Faculty pool in the Department of Multidisciplinary Innovation at the University of North Texas System. This is a great opportunity to teach and mentor students in a multidisciplinary environment, working with industry partners and other academic units to provide unique learning experiences.

Job Summary

The Department of Multidisciplinary Innovation is a leader in project-based education, offering undergraduate programs with a focus on creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach a variety of courses, including Project Design and Analysis, Applied Project Design and Analysis, Industrial Distribution, and Applied Arts and Sciences.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in the Department of Multidisciplinary Innovation, including Project Design and Analysis, Applied Project Design and Analysis, Industrial Distribution, and Applied Arts and Sciences.
  • Develop and implement project-based curricula that integrate multiple disciplines and promote creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving.
  • Work with industry partners and other academic units to provide students with unique learning experiences.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives to promote innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. or ABD in a relevant field, minimum of 1 year university-level teaching experience, experience teaching in multidisciplinary or cross-disciplinary courses, experience with project-based curricula, and experience teaching real-world problem-solving.
