Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Operations: Develop and implement new or improved product and processes to optimize facility efficiency.
- Establish Project Requirements: Define project requirements for external equipment and facility contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Preventive Maintenance: Define the operating parameters of our Preventive Maintenance program to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of critical equipment parts to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
- Purchasing and Procurement: Act as the purchasing function for equipment and facility maintenance, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of necessary supplies.
- IT Support: Act as the point person for computer and Information Technology systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
- Work Procedure Development: Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and optimize workflow.
- Employee Motivation: Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew and motivate employees to achieve work goals.
- Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Supervision: Supervise maintenance personnel to ensure effective and efficient completion of tasks.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate time and production records to inform decision-making and optimize facility operations.
- 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in a food environment.
- Experience with meat processing is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, roll stock, burger machines, conveyors, belts, spray tunnels is a plus.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interface well with all employees and represent the company in a highly professional manner.
