Job Summary

OakBend Medical Center seeks a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to provide various methods of Physical Therapy according to patient treatment plan. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of the Director of Rehab Services and Physical Therapist, serving as a resource person for PTs, PT Assistants, and PT Aides.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Physical Therapy according to patient treatment plan.
  • Work under the supervision of the Director of Rehab Services and Physical Therapist.
  • Serve as a resource person for PTs, PT Assistants, and PT Aides.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Previous experience in Physical Therapy preferred.
  • Eligible for or licensed by Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Basic Life Support certification required through the American Heart Association or other pre-approved accredited certification program.
  • Knowledge of regulations, QA and procedures, and quality patient care.

Work Schedule

Normally scheduled 8-hour work days, Monday - Friday; however, additional hours may be required due to increase in workload, assignment and completion of special projects.
