Job Summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in performing interventional radiology procedures, operating and maintaining radiological equipment, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in performing interventional radiology procedures, including preparing patients, setting up equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Operate and maintain radiological equipment, including C-Arm and ultrasound equipment, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct patient transfers and positioning, and transport patients to and from procedure rooms.
  • Input patient data into the C-Arm and ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Act as a Radiation Safety Officer, monitoring radiation badges and conducting in-services on radiation safety.
  • Participate in facility regulatory and accreditation surveys and action plans to address any deficiencies identified.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree desirable; and Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • Must have ARRT Certification, and be a licensed Radiology Technician by the Department of Health.
  • Per state requirements - must be licensed in radiology.
  • Interventional Radiology certificate preferred.
  • 6 years' related experience desirable, Candidates with ARRT Certifications will be considered for this position with at least 1 years of experience desirable.
Working Conditions

The work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and to perform patient transfers and positioning of patients up to 400 pounds.
