Position Overview

We are currently in search of a Legal Applications Engineer to enhance our technology division. This role is pivotal in the implementation, testing, and maintenance of the firm's essential software solutions. The applications managed include, but are not limited to, the Microsoft Office suite, legal software enhancements, collaboration platforms, PDF tools, document management systems, and specialized applications tailored for various legal practice groups and individual practitioners.


Key Responsibilities of the Legal Applications Engineer:

  • Facilitate the migration of legacy on-premises applications to cloud-based solutions.
  • Execute application integration, configuration, and packaging tasks.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise applications, ensuring user-friendliness and optimal utilization of the tools.
  • Establish and uphold firm-wide standards for software implementation.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing for new application installations and upgrades.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in applications engineering within a legal environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and legal industry-specific add-ins, PDF applications, UCC platforms, and document management systems.
  • Experience in supporting migrations to and maintaining M365, hosted document management systems, and other cloud-based applications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of user identity and application security frameworks.
  • Strong grasp of legal industry application requirements, best practices, and standards.
