Job Responsibilities:
- The Direct-to-Consumer Technology team is looking for a Quality Assurance Lead responsible for the successful end-to-end testing delivery in support of Peacock International Program. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of system architecture, testing principles, and agile methodologies.
- The selected candidate will establish and maintain essential relationships with various technology groups and test leads to oversee and utilize standard industry tools for planning, coordinating, and testing the development of pre-release products at system, integration, and functional levels.
- Coordinate the end-to-end testing efforts to plan, design, execute, and report the delivery of features according to the Peacock Technology Roadmap.
- Lead a team of QA Engineers and Specialists in coordinating end-to-end QA testing for the delivery of Peacock features across all platforms, including iOS, Android, Smart TVs, Roku, TVOS, etc.
- Manage, design, and review test plans while providing accurate forecasts of QA resource and effort estimations for deliverables.
- Build a sustainable, professional, and efficient stakeholder management system, including Test Managers, Program Managers, Application Development Managers, and Product leads.
- Participate in Technical Development Analysis (TDA) meetings to plan and estimate QA efforts and provide timelines for feature delivery for Peacock and other Joint Venture propositions.
- Act as a liaison for development, program, systems, and QA teams to refine and enhance QA processes suitable for Peacock teams.
- Proactively drive test priority and scope alignments and seek resolutions with all stakeholders.
- Adapt testing focus based on priorities to align with business objectives and manage expectations effectively.
- Assist with the classification and triage of defects/issues to prioritize, isolate, replicate, and support resolution in JIRA.
- Manage the creation, updates, and status of issues detected during the test execution phase.
- Report test execution status to Test Managers, Project Managers, and Release Managers to ensure all project deliverables are appropriately verified and approved for distribution and final code deployment.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members and help coordinate internal knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Support testing of production deployments and align expectations of multiple stakeholder teams during the deployment process.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test management tools such as Test Rails, Quality Center, Xray.
- Experience working with remote or international delivery teams.
- Proficient in using Confluence and managing JIRA boards.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and SDLC, particularly with streaming media for OTT applications.
- Knowledge of current popular Connected Device/OTT platforms (tvOS/Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, Xbox One, PS4, etc.).
- Understanding of Project Management principles to support program delivery.
- Familiarity with applications that support video/media playback.
- Experience in building test plans and coordinating QA/UAT with functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to new technology and solutions quickly.
- Good understanding of networking, SSL, firewalls, CDN, and DRM.
- Experience with Charles proxy, Splunk, or similar logging tools and server logs.
- Must be able to learn and understand end-to-end Systems Workflows.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple deliverables and projects.
- Prior experience with desktop, mobile, and connected device and OTT development or support.
- Ability to self-start, self-manage, meet deadlines, and learn from mistakes.
- Understanding of agile and DevOps principles.
- Experience testing Commerce, Infrastructure & Security is a plus.
- A passion for digital media platforms and the entertainment industry.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Experience in defining and maintaining automation frameworks is a plus.
- Familiarity with basic product support is a plus.
