At The Learning Experience, Lead Teachers are more than just instructors; they are champions of joy and learning. Our Lead Teachers lay the groundwork for lifelong learning, mentoring both students and fellow educators to ensure that excellence is a standard practice.


Compensation: Hourly $17.00-$20.00

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Leadership: Design, prepare, and collaborate to create an engaging and nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and develop.
  • Curriculum Delivery: Effectively implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum, tailoring your methods to meet the unique needs of Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers.
  • Safety Commitment: Ensure a secure and supportive atmosphere where children can flourish.
  • Family Engagement: Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's development and achievements through various channels.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cohesively with center staff and leadership to enhance retention, enrollment, and engagement.
  • Relationship Development: Build strong connections with families and colleagues, creating a harmonious environment for learning and play.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: Must comply with state-specific regulations for the role. A High School Diploma/GED is required; ECE coursework is preferred.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Experience: Significant experience in a childcare environment with a background in classroom leadership. A strong passion for early childhood education is essential.
  • Compliance: Must adhere to state-specific regulations for the position.
  • Meet state and federal requirements, including performance standards, immunizations, health screenings, and safety training.
  • Caregiving Competencies:
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate potential risks in a childcare setting.
  • Ensure children's safety and address their daily needs, including diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Encourage positive social interactions, including effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Keep children actively engaged in age-appropriate activities.
  • Exhibit patience, composure, and professionalism consistently.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Reach, stretch, climb, and maintain mobility as necessary.
  • Ability to supervise children effectively by sight and sound.
  • Maintain alertness and energy to fulfill essential job functions.
