Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Deploy operational excellence methods and programs to ensure they deliver anticipated value in support of productivity targets.
  • Program Management: Once up and running, program manage multiple sites through delivery of benefits.
  • KPI Development: Ensure KPIs for operational engineering activities are in place, in use, and effective in driving performance and improvement.
  • Benchmarking: Lead and use benchmarking internally and externally to identify current performance levels and next performance levels against best practice and improvement opportunities.
  • Asset Life Cycle Management: Drive the asset life cycle and asset performance management program across biologics and devices sites to ensure compliance, performance, reliability, and cost-effective assets are installed and operated until the end of their life cycle.
  • Savings Tracking and Opex Budget Oversight: Track savings and oversee opex budget for maintenance and reliability activities.
  • Capability Strategy Development: Develop and deploy the overall capability strategy for operational engineering in the sites/manufacturing group.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure effective governance and compliance with engineering expectations, programs, and standards to agreed timescales.
  • Capital Governance: Ensure effective capital governance for the manufacturing group to deliver capital plans in a compliant manner.
  • Environmental Sustainability: Facilitate environmental sustainability programs across CO2 emissions, water, and waste for the manufacturing group.
Requirements
  • Engineering Degree: Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, automation, or chemical engineering.
  • Postgraduate Experience: Significant postgraduate experience in a high-intensity, highly cost-focused manufacturing business.
  • Operational Efficiency Experience: Demonstrated experience in delivery of operational efficiency is a must.
  • Regulated Environment Experience: Must have experience in machines and production lines and in a high-care/highly regulated environment such as pharma/healthcare/food/cosmetics/aeronautics.
  • Stakeholder Management: Must have experience in wide group stakeholder management including senior management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MSc in Engineering: MSc in mechanical, electrical, automation, or chemical engineering.
