Patient Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team at 6 North. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care activities, including personal, physical, and comfort needs of patients, under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Assist the Registered Nurse with admission, transfer, discharge, and general patient care duties.
- Record vital signs, assist with personal hygiene, and other patient comfort measures.
- Assist with specimen collection and other activities of assigned patients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment to help prevent and/or control infections and to provide for the safety of patients, visitors, and employees.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
- Prior patient care experience.
