Position Summary:
The Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing projects, tasks, and work scopes in a cohesive, organized, and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight:
- Accountable for the budget, timeline, project oversight, and technical execution of projects and their components.
- Defines and articulates project scope, objectives, and goals.
- Recognizes client needs and formulates a project execution strategy to meet deliverables and objectives.
- Establishes a collaborative project team and devises plans that align with scope execution.
- Serves as the primary contact for clients regarding project activities and negotiates deliverables and baseline modifications.
- Communicates project plans and progress to management, stakeholders, and clients.
- Prepares documentation to support proposals, work statements, performance monitoring, change management, and project closure.
- Conducts project risk assessments.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies, processes, and systems, along with financial and budgeting systems.
- Proposal Development:
- Evaluates proposal requests, plans, outlines, and timelines for accuracy and adherence to relevant standards.
- Drafts proposals and refines proposal documents, ensuring compliance with formatting standards and accuracy.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts, management, and stakeholders to gather essential information for proposal creation.
- Translates intricate technical specifications into clear business language.
- Gathers feedback on proposals and implements enhancements in writing and communication.
- Organizes and archives proposals and related documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- 7-10 years of experience in project management, project control, or proposal writing.
- Exceptional client-facing and internal communication abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Proficient in project management software.
- Experience with resource-loaded schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Familiarity with accounting software and client invoicing processes.
- Experience in government contracting is preferred.
- Project Management certification is a plus.
- DOE Q-Clearance is advantageous.
