Job Description

G&W Electric Co is a global leader in engineered electrical power grid solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Inventory Management Intern.

Position Summary:

This internship will provide the opportunity to work closely with our Inventory Manager to address critical areas in inventory analysis, cycle count processes, inventory accuracy, and dashboard improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Tracking: Assist in monitoring and updating inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of stock status.
  • Data Analysis: Help analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement, contributing to the enhancement of our inventory dashboard.
  • Reporting: Prepare and generate reports on inventory metrics, stock movements, and performance indicators.
  • Stock Reconciliation: Participate in periodic inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to identifying and implementing improvements in inventory processes, particularly in cycle count processes, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or MIS Major
  • Sophomore or Junior (preferred)
  • Understanding of Inventory Management principles
  • Data Analysis skills

Compensation and Benefits:

Interns are well compensated with a competitive salary. Compensation is based on the number of years that you have completed toward your undergraduate/graduate degree or Ph.D. Housing is also available if needed.
