Direct Support Professional 5: Care Coordinator

As a Direct Support Professional with North Suffolk Community Services Inc., you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to adults with developmental disabilities.

Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive Salary:
- $20/hour (plus $2/hour differential for high-intensity programs)

You will be responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This includes:
- Offering guidance and support during skills building activities
- Developing and implementing individual treatment plans
- Assisting with daily living activities, including meal preparation, money management, and personal hygiene
- Maintaining an appropriate staff-to-client ratio at all times
- Fostering positive relationships with residents and promoting social connections
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education: High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience: Zero to six years of experience in child care, elder care, or direct support to developmentally disabled persons; previous experience in mental health or special education settings also welcome
- Skills: Valid Massachusetts Driver's license; ability to become MAP certified; CPR/First Aid certification within five months of hire
