Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of structural engineers and interface with professionals from various disciplines.
  • Guide and mentor junior project team members in delivering engineering solutions.
  • Participate in the design of innovative nuclear facilities, including Small Modular Reactors and Advanced Reactors.
  • Contribute to upgrades of both domestic and international operating nuclear plants.
  • Utilize your expertise in materials, structural analysis, and design of steel and concrete structures.
  • Prepare and review design calculations, specifications, and reports while supporting the development of design drawings.
  • Conduct structural analysis and design using advanced software tools.
  • Travel to client and vendor locations for design evaluations and on-site construction coordination.

Work Environment

This position operates on a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance three days a week.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A BS degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in structural design and analysis within a project team.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS.
  • Familiarity with design codes and standards including ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are valued:

  • MSCE degree.
  • Experience in the design and analysis of power plant or industrial structures.
  • On-site construction support experience.
  • PE or SE license.
