Position Summary:
As a Safety and Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's assets by monitoring and securing the premises. This role involves responding to emergencies and collaborating with external agencies when necessary.

This is a Part-Time position (30 hours/week) with shifts from 3pm to 11pm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the security of the facility, protecting against unauthorized access, theft, or damage.
  • Monitor the entry and exit of personnel, verifying identification and authorization.
  • Provide protection for employees, guests, and visitors, addressing potential conflicts or hazards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of common areas to identify safety issues and document any deficiencies.
  • Escort guests and staff as needed throughout the facility.
  • Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents and injuries.
  • Investigate incidents, gather information, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Assist in developing and enhancing security protocols and programs.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all security policies and procedures relevant to the role.
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere for all employees and visitors, ensuring respectful and professional interactions.
  • Ensure that property removal is conducted in accordance with established policies.
  • Possess knowledge of basic First Aid procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in security, law enforcement, emergency services, or military preferred; CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Ability to make sound judgments in emergency situations and communicate effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with team members and the public professionally.
  • Familiarity with security software, including CCTV and access control systems.
  • Knowledge of security practices and strategies to ensure safety for all.
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver objects as necessary.
  • Capability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Ability to respond to threats with appropriate measures, adhering to company policies.
  • Willingness to work during events and non-event days as required.
  • Must pass background checks in accordance with company policies.
