Position Overview

The Facilities Engineer I/II plays a crucial role in overseeing production and facilities engineering, ensuring technical excellence in engineering designs, processes, and procedures to align with departmental objectives. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and development through mentorship from a diverse engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering technical expertise across all stages of mechanical design.
  • Assisting in the design and development of engineering projects related to production facilities, including natural gas processing units and auxiliary piping systems, as well as equipment specifications for compression, filter/separators, and dehydration systems.
  • Providing accurate cost estimates for equipment and installation of various production pad facilities.
  • Training Operations personnel on the usage and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Creating operational guidelines as necessary for facility management.
  • Offering support during the construction and commissioning of projects, collaborating with internal and external engineering teams.
  • Establishing and maintaining a consistent design philosophy that adheres to all relevant governmental and industry codes and standards.
  • Ensuring facility designs are safe, effective, and uniform in operation.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical).
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of process flow and equipment used for the separation of fluids in oil and gas production.
  • Familiarity with ASME, ANSI, API, ISA, and NACE specifications and standards.
  • Understanding of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • A proactive ownership mentality.
  • Able to simplify complex workflows and ideas for effective communication.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Capable of working independently when required.
  • Willingness to travel 15-20% of the time.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • 9/80 work schedule availability.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the oil and gas sector.
  • Experience in equipment design/manufacturing or oil field facility construction.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio.
