Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water & Wastewater Construction Inspector II to join our team at Herbert Rowland & Grubic. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting on-site observations, documenting and reporting non-conformities, and ensuring that construction projects meet contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • On-Site Observations: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with contractual documents.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of observations, including photographs and written reports.
  • Non-Conformity Reporting: Identify and document non-conformities, and work with project managers to develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Final Inspections: Conduct thorough final inspections to ensure that all work is completed to contractual specifications.
  • Change Order Management: Assist in the preparation and review of change orders and work directive changes.
  • Project Schedule Management: Review and analyze project schedules, shop drawing submittals, and schedules of values.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in construction observation and administration, with a focus on water and wastewater projects.
  • Certifications: NICET certification desired.
  • Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Other: Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites and meetings.
