Water & Wastewater Project Engineer

At Herbert Rowland & Grubic, we are seeking a highly skilled Water & Wastewater Project Engineer to join our team of professionals in Harrisburg, PA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing water and wastewater infrastructure projects that meet the needs of our clients and communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare water and wastewater engineering project designs that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Provide project review, QA/QC, and compliance services to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and contract documents to enable the bidding of projects.
  • Serve as construction field engineer during the construction of projects, including dealings with contractors, interpreting designs and specifications, and preparing work change directives and/or change orders.
  • Complete project permitting requirements and represent the client, project, and/or HRG at various meetings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with Environmental emphasis.
  • Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Professional Engineering license.
  • 4+ years' experience involving the design of water distribution and treatment systems, wastewater collection and conveyance systems, hydraulics, on-lot systems, and environmental assessments.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience with computer modeling of water systems, hydraulic design software, and PA DEP regulations.
  • Holds a valid US driver's license to travel to job sites, meetings, and regional offices.
  • Has the legal right to work in the U.S.
