Job Title: Sustainability Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Engineer to join our team at E Ink Corporation. As a key member of our corporate sustainability strategy team, you will play a critical role in driving reductions to our global carbon footprint and helping us transition to a decarbonized, circular economy model.

About the Position:

The Sustainability Engineer will work closely with our Research, Product Development, Facilities, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to provide data for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) inventory, implement new and improved processes and materials with demonstrated smaller carbon footprint, and work closely with our global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team to align our local efforts with the corporate sustainability goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Support business process development efforts focused on company-wide sustainability initiatives
  • Provide data for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) inventory
  • Implement new and improved processes and materials with demonstrated smaller carbon footprint
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain team to assess the sustainability of our suppliers' processes and materials
  • Collaborate with the ESG team to align local efforts with corporate sustainability goals
Requirements:
  • Passion for and experience in data-driven sustainability analysis with strong computer skills
  • Preferred Master's degree or higher in science, engineering, or physics with specific sustainability coursework or equivalent experience
  • Background in manufacturing, environmental science, engineering, or a related technical field
  • Familiarity with a variety of chemical manufacturing processes and facility engineering
  • Strong technical background with demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently and show great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to manage complex situations with multiple stakeholders
