About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and promptly.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel, to create, manage, and maintain necessary accounting reports and records.
  • Proactively communicate with subcontractors to obtain necessary documentation such as W-9 forms.
  • Assist with other administrative accounting functions as needed, including financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and stay updated with industry trends and changes.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to improve financial processes and systems.
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records, and ensure all accounting procedures are followed.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.
  • Experience with accounts payable and receivable, as well as reconciliation.
  • A proven track record of working with subcontractors to obtain necessary documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of current accounting regulations and standards.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
