Holtec International is a leading manufacturer of precision machined components for the nuclear industry. We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team.

Position Summary:

The CNC Machinist will play a critical role in producing high-quality machined components. Key responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC machines, interpreting blueprints, adjusting tooling, making offsets, and using precision measurement tools to ensure accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including Mulitaxis VTL Vertical Turning Lathe and Multiaxis HBM Horizontal Boring Mill.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure accurate machining.
  • Upload programs and make necessary adjustments to machine parameters.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling and make tooling offsets as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines.
  • Use metrology tools, including Vernier calipers, Dial calipers, Digital calipers, Micrometer, Bore micrometer, and Depth micrometer, to measure and inspect parts.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the machining process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience.
  • Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills.
  • Ability to read and understand CNC programs.
  • Knowledge of tool selection, tooling setup, and making tool offsets.
  • Proficiency in using metrology tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Willingness to work with a safety-first mindset.
