CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team at Holtec International, a leading manufacturer of precision machined components for the Nuclear Industry.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC machines, including Multiaxis VTL Vertical Turning Lathe & Multiaxis HBM Horizontal Boring Mill (PAMA, Carnaghi, Hankook / Fanuc controls), in accordance with production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure the accurate machining of components.
- Upload programs and make necessary adjustments to machine parameters.
- Select and install appropriate tooling and make tooling offsets as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines.
- Use metrology tools, including Vernier calipers, Dial calipers, Digital calipers, Micrometer, Bore micrometer, Depth micrometer, to measure and inspect parts to meet precise specifications.
- Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the machining process.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience.
- Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines.
- Strong blueprint reading skills.
- Ability to read and understand CNC programs (G & M codes) (Fanuc control is a plus).
- Knowledge of tool selection, tooling setup, and making tool offsets.
- Proficiency in using metrology tools (CMM experience is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to work with a safety-first mindset.
