Job Summary:

We are seeking a Diesel Technician Apprentice to join our team at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores. As a Diesel Technician Apprentice, you will assist customers with roadside services, learn preventative maintenance services, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with roadside services, including tire changes, fuel delivery, and other vehicle-related issues.
  • Learn and perform preventative maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Work in a team environment to maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Develop skills in electrical diagnostics and repairs, air conditioning and heating diagnostics and repairs, and other areas of diesel engine repair.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift 75+ pounds.
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation.
