Job Title: Sprinkler Fitter

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test installed fire sprinkler systems to determine system adequacy and functionality.
  • Verify that all equipment, including sprinkler heads, valves, and alarms, is operating correctly.
  • Conduct visual inspections of buildings to identify corroded or damaged components.
  • Ensure proper system activation, water flow, and alarm functionality.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and findings.
  • Generate detailed reports outlining system deficiencies and recommended corrective actions.
  • Communicate inspection results to clients, building owners, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Familiarize yourself with local, state, and national fire codes and regulations.
  • Ensure that fire sprinkler systems adhere to these codes and standards.
  • Provide guidance on necessary upgrades or modifications to meet compliance requirements.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in the Fire Sprinkler industry performing service and repair to Sprinkler and Suppression systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Must be able to follow, read, and understand all safety requirements of the company and the customers.
  • PERC card (may be obtained prior to/upon starting work).
  • NICET III Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems, NFPA Water-Based Inspection, Testing and Maintenance, ASSE I50I0 Water-Based Protection Systems, or Completion of a DOL approved Sprinkler Fitter Apprenticeship Program.
