About the Role

The New Orleans Jewish Community Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Administrative Officer to lead our organization's strategic operations. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the necessary systems to support our growth and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Develop and implement financial systems, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the development and implementation of efficient administrative and financial systems, including finance, accounting, legal, IT, HR, and infrastructure.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning, monthly results evaluation, and professional development initiatives.
  • Leadership: Lead and manage HR and IT functions, provide oversight for pledge payments, and act as a strategic partner to the CEO on financial, budgeting, and administrative processes.
  • Technology and Systems: Implement a new financial and membership management system, establish technology systems for improved efficiency and effectiveness, and direct outsourced IT staff.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of senior professional experience in a nonprofit sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (MA/MBA preferred).
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP desirable.
  • Demonstrated financial management experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • Resourceful in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
  • Plan and participate in Board and Officer meetings.
  • Technologically savvy and detail-oriented.
  • Values integrity, credibility, and organizational goals.
  • Knowledge of investment strategies.
Compensation

Base salary range: $130,000 to $150,000 depending on experience. Healthcare and other benefits provided.
