Overview: As a Signal Support Systems Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining effective communication networks within military units. This position requires strong technical skills, including knowledge of radio and data distribution systems, as well as the ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.

About the Role: The Signal Support Systems Specialist is responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining radio and data distribution systems, as well as providing technical assistance and training for local area networks. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex problems.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, operate, and maintain radio and data distribution systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, terminal devices, and assigned vehicles
  • Provide technical assistance and training for local area networks
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with regulations

Qualifications and Skills: To succeed in this role, you should have an interest in working with electronic equipment, problem-solving, and mechanical/electrical principles. You must also meet physical requirements and pass a background check.

Requirements:
  • Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
