Design and Develop Next-Generation Silicon Technologies

As a member of our Silicon Technologies group at Apple, you will play a critical role in designing and manufacturing our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). Your expertise will be essential in ensuring Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop specifications based on requirements from cross-functional teams
  • Schematic capture, circuit design, definition of layout and routing constraints, design review and simulation
  • FPGA and CPLD development
  • Board bring-up, testing and characterization, and debug
  • Power and signal integrity analysis
  • High-speed interface design and characterization
  • Debug a wide range of issues on test boards and production systems
Requirements:
  • Experience designing complex high-speed embedded systems with demonstrated record of success
  • BS in Electrical, Computer or related degree program with 10 years of proven experience
  • Broad experience with high-speed, high-power embedded system design
  • Experience defining routing constraints for high-speed interfaces
  • Design and analysis of power supplies and power integrity analysis
  • Excellent signal integrity analysis and measurement techniques
  • CPU/SOC/Microcontroller system architecture expertise
  • Proficiency with standard hardware lab equipment including scopes, logic and spectrum analyzers, signal generators, eLoads and protocol analyzers
  • Test automation expertise using Perl/Tcl/Python
  • Board level analog and digital circuit design experience
