Position Summary:

The Rover Counter Sales Associate plays a crucial role in managing the sales counter, which includes preparing products for customer pickups, processing orders, and engaging directly with customers while ensuring a safe and organized counter environment. This role may involve travel to nearby locations as necessary for coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt and efficient assistance to customers at the counter, through email, and over the phone.
  • Generate sales orders, transfers, and return goods authorizations (RGAs).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Counter/Warehouse area and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Handle pricing for small projects and manage order processing.
  • Accurately quote, place, assemble, and process customer orders.
  • Review orders to confirm correct picking.
  • Monitor orders in the computer system to enhance customer service and processing efficiency.
  • Expand the customer base and increase counter sales and profitability.
  • Perform general warehouse duties, including stock management, will call preparation, and inventory tasks.
  • Safely operate all necessary equipment within the work area.
  • Travel within the designated area as required.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Required Skills:

  • Basic math and reasoning abilities.
  • Capability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate in a team-oriented environment with a focus on punctuality.
  • Proficiency in data entry and use of web browsers and internet search engines.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Position may require climbing ladders or operating forklifts to access high storage areas.
