As a Prep Cook, your primary responsibility will be to maintain strict compliance with recipe guidelines. This role emphasizes safe food handling practices, cleanliness, and adherence to safety and sanitation protocols throughout your shift. You will prepare food using the appropriate safety equipment, tools, and recipe specifications, following further instructions from management.

Additionally, you will be expected to understand the food storage hierarchy within the walk-in cooler and freezer, ensuring that dry storage is kept organized. Your role is crucial in preparing fresh, appetizing dishes that are visually appealing. We are looking for a reliable professional with a strong work ethic who can manage the kitchen's opening and closing tasks effectively.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Execute the prep list provided by the Kitchen Manager
    • Accurately measure ingredients and follow mixing techniques as per recipes
    • Prepare ingredients by washing and slicing vegetables and cutting meats
    • Perform basic cooking tasks such as sautéing vegetables and boiling soups
    • Label and organize all food products to ensure proper rotation
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of sanitation and cleanliness standards
    • Carry out other related duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:
    • Minimum age requirement: 18 years
    • Solid understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety, and hygiene
    • Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances
    • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
    • Capable of performing well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Reliable transportation
    • Able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs

Compensation: $16.00 per hour
