Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll accurately and on time for employees, including salary, hourly, and commission-based pay.
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Maintain and update payroll records for new hires, terminations, and status changes.
Prepare and review payroll reports, including earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries regarding pay and benefits.
Reconcile payroll-related accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Collaborate with HR and finance departments to integrate payroll data with benefits administration.
Assist with payroll audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
Knowledge of payroll regulations, including FLSA, tax withholdings, and wage garnishments.
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Effective problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Associates degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Permanent Salary Range:
$55K to $70K, depending on experience.
MUST pass a criminal background check and drug test.
