Senior Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator to join our team at Technology Recruiting Solutions in Sacramento, CA.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction, including earthwork, underground utilities, concrete work, water/wastewater mechanical, and pump station work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project estimates from initial to final stages
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost evaluations
  • Provide innovative solutions to complex cost-related issues
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and unit cost analyses
  • Participate in the bidding process, including soliciting bids, evaluating proposals, and using bid tally sheets
  • Engage with new and existing customers to develop business opportunities
  • Review construction contracts and ensure compliance

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction
  • Strong knowledge of unit costs and construction cost factors
  • Proficiency in computer estimating software, including Microsoft Suites and HCSS HeavyBid
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
