We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Universal Engineering Sciences. As a key member of our geotechnical engineering team, you will be responsible for performing and managing geotechnical engineering investigations and studies, working closely with clients to determine project needs, and preparing scopes of service, proposals, and budget estimates.

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, California PE registration, and 6 or more years of experience in geotechnical engineering or a closely related discipline. Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects and clients, and a valid California Driver's License are also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and manage geotechnical engineering investigations and studies
  • Work closely with clients to determine project needs
  • Prepare scopes of service, proposals, and budget estimates
  • Train, mentor, and guide graduate professionals
  • Analyze field and laboratory data
  • Prepare and review geotechnical engineering reports

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering required, Master's degree preferred
  • California PE registration required, GE registration required or can be obtained within 12 months
  • 6 or more years of experience in geotechnical engineering or a closely related discipline preferred
  • California project experience, including schools and hospitals, strongly preferred
