Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Foundation Development Director to join our team. As a key member of our fundraising department, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing major gift fundraising strategies for Life Flight Network's foundation. This role involves cultivating and managing relationships with foundation donor prospects and partnerships, developing and submitting funding requests, and growing our foundation funding portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective major gift fundraising strategies to increase foundation funding and support Life Flight Network's mission.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with foundation donor prospects and partnerships, ensuring a high level of engagement and support.
  • Develop and submit compelling funding requests that showcase the impact of Life Flight Network's work and secure significant grant revenue.
  • Grow and manage the foundation funding portfolio, contributing to the company's strategic goals and diversifying our funding base.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Fundraising, Philanthropy, Business Management, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a fundraising leadership role, preferably in healthcare.
  • Proven experience involving foundation development, including direct interaction with high-level foundation officials.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of philanthropy is preferred.
  • Demonstrated record of success in generating significant grant revenue, including six- and seven-figure gifts.
  • Excellent coordination and organization skills, with self-motivation and discipline to set and achieve work goals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse staff, think critically, objectively, analytically, and strategically.
  • High level of poise and professionalism, attention to detail, and timeliness in responding to requests.
  • Excellent technical skills in writing, editing, formatting, research, negotiation, and verbal communications.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency with budgetary processes, including establishing stretch goals, forecasting, and planning for growth.
