Overview:


As a Production Team Supervisor in Food Manufacturing, you will play a crucial role within our Kitchen and Production teams. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure precise measurement and preparation of ingredients in alignment with established recipes and protocols.

Your leadership will guide the Prep personnel, overseeing all facets of production linked to Prep operations, while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

This position involves achieving key performance indicators on production or packaging lines, enhancing efficiency and productivity, and minimizing waste.

You will manage, monitor, and document material usage, perform necessary adjustments and troubleshooting of equipment and processes, and maintain a steady workflow in assembly and packaging activities.

Additionally, you will ensure optimal labor utilization and possess a comprehensive understanding of formulations and batch sheet applications.

Shift: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Hours may vary depending on departmental needs. Morning or evening shifts available.

Compensation:
$24.72/hour with shift differentials.

Key Responsibilities:
Essential duties may include, but are not limited to:

- Adhering to instructions from Shift Lead, Supervisor, and Manager.

- Consistently following good work practices, company policies, and safety regulations.

- Collaborating with the Shift Lead to organize daily tasks.


- Promptly reporting any potential inventory shortages, raw material issues, or quality deviations to the Shift Lead, Kitchen Supervisor, or Kitchen Manager.

- Executing cooking and batching of recipes in accordance with standard procedures and batch sheet guidelines.

- Verifying all ingredients and in-process items for appropriate texture, flavor, aroma, and appearance prior to combining with other components. Any discrepancies must be reported immediately.

- Mastering the use of batch sheets and adhering to standard operating procedures.

Ensure all item details (including lot numbers, MO numbers, quantities, and batch numbers) are accurately recorded on batch sheets.

- Guaranteeing proper labeling and storage practices are followed.

All food or ingredient containers must be labeled with contents description, production date, and weight.

Compliance with food safety protocols is mandatory at all times.


This role is accountable for ensuring adherence to Critical Control Points and Preventive Controls, which may encompass various aspects such as Cook Time and Temperatures, Metal Detection, Canning Process Letter, Cooling Time and Temperatures, Bar Code Reader, Line Clearance, Pre-Operational Cleaning and Sanitation, and Material Usage.

In the event of absence, coverage responsibilities will be delegated to another qualified individual in the same role or a trained lead or supervisor.


Understanding the safe operation of equipment and monitoring all safety devices and guards is essential, with any issues needing immediate reporting to the Team Lead, Shift Lead, Kitchen Supervisor, or Kitchen Manager.

Maintaining compliance with safety regulations and monitoring employee safety is crucial.

- Reporting any mechanical issues to the Team Lead, Shift Lead, Kitchen Supervisor, or Kitchen Manager.

- Adhering to the guidelines outlined in the employee handbook, safety manual, and GMP booklet.

- Familiarizing oneself with the responsibilities of prep personnel.

- Performing additional tasks as assigned by the Shift Lead, Kitchen Supervisor, or Kitchen Manager.

Regular attendance is required.

During peak seasons or based on company needs, overtime may be necessary.

Supervisory Duties:
Responsible for assisting, monitoring, and reporting on safety and GMP matters.

Overseeing prep employees across multiple work centers.

Responsibilities will include training, planning, assigning, and directing work within the prep area.

Qualifications:

Education:


A high school diploma or GED; or 1 to 2 years of experience in food manufacturing; or a combination of education and experience.

Familiarity with company products and processes is preferred.

Experience:
Six months to a year of relevant experience and/or training.

Skills:
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and apply these skills to measurements and financial transactions.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense to follow simple instructions and handle standardized situations with minimal variability.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:


Ability to read and recognize basic words and numbers, and to communicate in simple sentences.
