American Welding & Gas, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Sales Support Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in providing assistance to clients with their purchasing needs, specifically in the area of gases and welding supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers both in-store and via phone with product inquiries and orders.
- Manage the returns, exchanges, and sales of gas cylinders.
- Process cash and credit transactions, ensuring accurate reconciliation of daily financial activities.
- Engage in collection efforts and maintain customer relationships through follow-up communications.
- Support the store manager in daily operations, including securing inventory and managing store openings and closings.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments and organizing stock.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and service appointments.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with management to meet or exceed sales targets while controlling operational costs.
- Assist in the maintenance of store facilities and equipment.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service or sales is preferred.
- Physical capability to handle gas and liquid cylinders, including lifting and maneuvering heavy items.
- Experience with cash registers is a plus.
- Forklift operation experience is advantageous.
- A motivated and energetic individual eager to learn and grow within the company.
